The weather in the Dominican Republic is hot and humid, it gets colder during the rainy season but more often gets into the 70’s during that time. The Dominican Republic also has the mountain range, Cordillera Central, which is the highest in the Caribbean; there are deserts in the southwest and alpine forests in the central mountains. Sugarcane fields spread over coastal plains in the north and east, and coconut plantations cover most of the tropical peninsula of Samaná. White sandy beaches with warm waters dominate some areas well the pebble beach’s under rocky cliffs give a great view on the southern coast.
